Badminton Canada Welcomes New Communications and Programs Officer

Maxine Gauthier, MHK joins Badminton Canada as Communications and Programs Office

Badminton Canada is pleased to announce that Maxine Gauthier has been appointed to the position of Communications and Programs Officer. Effective July 10, 2023, Maxine will focus on managing Badminton Canada’s communication and organizational marketing efforts along with various initiatives and programs including Safety in Sport, and Gender, Equity and Inclusion.

 

Maxine joins Badminton Canada with a wealth of experience in the sports industry. Maxine started her career in sport as an intern for Badminton Canada during her Masters in Sport Management. She then went on to work for the Coaching Association of Canada as Coach and Partner Services Coordinator and Education Partnerships Operations Coordinator. Maxine then gained valuable experience at the 2022 Niagara Canada Summer Games as the Sport and Venues Coordinator.

 

“We are very happy that Maxine has joined the Badminton Canada team. Maxine’s experience with Badminton Canada, as well as in the Canadian sport community will allow for some great progress to be made in promoting Canadian success and helping to advance some of our key programming,” said Jordan Bridal, Executive Director for Badminton Canada.

 

“I am very excited to get the opportunity to make a difference for badminton in Canada,” said Maxine. “I look forward to helping the organization grow its marketing and communication efforts along with the ability to support new and existing programs within Badminton Canada.”
