BCAN Technical Official Registration
TECHNICAL OFFICIAL REGISTRATION SYSTEM
Starting with the 2025–2026 season, technical officials registration will be streamlined through oneBADGE, our new centralized portal. Whether you're renewing your credentials or joining for the first time, oneBADGE will be your go-to platform for submitting applications, verifying requirements, and staying compliant—all in one place.
1. To begin the technical official registration process, visit the oneBadge registration portal by visiting the following link: Badminton Canada - oneBADGEsport Registration
2. Fill out the necessary information, select "Official" in the category section, create a username and press submit.
3. You will receive a welcome email from oneBadge within 24 hours after submitting the preliminary information. In the welcome email you will receive the next steps on how to complete your information in the portal and how to complete the required tasks.
4. Complete the payment process. Payment is required before assessing your information. The license fee is $20, $15 goes to Badminton Canada and $5 goes toward oneBADGE processing fee.
5. Once you have received the email, you will have to complete the following tasks to receive your coaching license:
- Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC). *If you have a valid Enhanced Police Information check within the past 2 years, you will be asked to upload it directly to your portal. If you do not have a valid Enhanced Police Information Check within the past 2 years, you can complete it through the oneBadge platform.
- Complete the Respect in Sport for Officials module: Badminton Canada - Officials Program (2025)
- Complete the CAC Safe Sport Training module
- Complete the CCES SafeSport 2025 (Required as of February 1, 2025) *Login at https://cces.myabsorb.com/?KeyName=t5SQuxT6qxmpr9E-IJQH#/ and use the code: BAD670 and navigate to the Safe Sport 2025 module. You will be asked to upload your certificate and signed consent form to your profile in oneBadge.
- Agreement to Badminton Canada Policies.
- Agreement Image rights waiver.
- Add a Profile Picture that shows your head from the shoulders up. We must have a clear picture of your face and head.
6. Once all the tasks are completed, it will show as "Verification Required". oneBADGE and BCAN will review the submission and "issue" the License if all requirements have been met.
7. You will receive an email confirming your issued License and your electronic Technical Official Accreditation QR Code will be produced.
