Badminton Canada Seeks a New Executive Director

After 8 years as Executive Director, Joe Morissette steps away from Badminton Canada to pursue new opportunities

Badminton Canada is currently seeking a full-time Executive Director (ED) to oversee day-to-day operations, lead and collaborate a small team of dedicated employees, carry out the policies set forth by the organization’s governance structure, and continue to evolve the organization to meet its future needs, opportunities, and challenges.

The ED has ultimate accountability for fulfilling the ambitious goals set forth in its Strategic Plan. Implicit in this will be the ongoing diversification and increase of Badminton Canada’s revenue base to maximize achievement of its longer-term goals. Additionally, the ED is a spokesperson and ambassador for the organization and will lead all aspects of Badminton Canada’s communications strategy and partnership development with integrity and in accordance with Badminton Canada’s Strategic Plan and core values.

Badminton Canada would like to wish current Executive Director, Joe Morissette, our best in his new role as CEO of Triathlon Canada on May 18.

“We are extremely grateful for all Joe has done for badminton in Canada during his 8 years with the association”, states Badminton Canada Prseident, Ken Poole. “Joe has been a highly motivated and dedicated employee and is leaving us in a very healthy position with an exciting future. We qualified our largest team ever for the Tokyo Olympic Games, and first ever athlete for the Tokyo Paralympic Games under Joes leadership. He will bring a vast amount of experience to Triathlon Canada."
