Canadians Set to Shine at Pan Am Para Badminton Championships 2025

Top players from across the Americas set to compete for title of Parapan Am Champion!

Canada’s top para-badminton athletes are gearing up to compete at the Pan Am Para Badminton Championships 2025, hosted in São Paulo, Brazil. The event brings together elite players from across the Americas and serves as a key step toward future international qualification.

For Team Canada, the Championships mark a key milestone in the build-up toward upcoming international events, including the next ParaPan Am Games and Paralympic Games qualification cycle. The week-long tournament features both rGroup Stage and Elimination Draws, featuring all all six para-sport categories (SL3, SL4, SU5, SH6, WH1, and WH2).

Representing Canada in São Paulo are:

  • Colleen Cloëtta (Quebec) – SH6
  • Justin Kendrick (Ontario/Quebec) – SH6
  • Wyatt Lightfoot (Saskatchewan) – SH6
  • Emilien Langelier (Quebec) – SH6
  • Anthony Vibol Hay (Quebec) – SH6
  • Brooklyn Wolfrey-Allen (Newfoundland) – SH6
  • Rishav Sharma (Alberta) – SU5

Together, the Team reflects the strength and growing depth of Canada’s para-badminton program.

The championships conclude October 26, with Canadian athletes striving to finish strong in São Paulo.
