The year 2024 has started with a new Communications, Marketing and Sponsorship Manager. Gilda Rodrigues has been hired to the position and she is bringing her experience in Art & Live Entertainment to the Sport Industry.

Gilda is Brazilian, a Permanent Resident of Canada, and worked as a TV News Reporter of Politics and Economics, Radio Reporter and Publicist Senior of Human Rights in her home country. After completing a Post-graduated degree in Visual Arts, she joined Cirque Du Soleil in the Guest Experience Department. She travelled across Latin America, North America and Europe for eight years in two different shows.

She was the Merchandising Supervisor in more than 20 countries and the leader of each sales team. With a great understanding of multicultural environments, she learned three new languages: Spanish, English and French.

“I am thrilled to join Badminton Canada’s Team and I am eager to bring results and make the sport more visible to all Canadians”, said Gilda.
