Team Canada Wins the 2023 Pan Am Cup

Canada qualifies for the 2023 BWF Sudirman Cup in Suzhou, China with a record 13th consectuive Mixed Team Championship title win

Canada continues its dominance in the Pan Am region with a win at the 2023 Pan Am Cup - Mixed Team Continential Championships, in Guadalajara, Mexico from February 16 to 19, 2023.

Coming in as the top seed, Team Canada would place in Group A with Ecuador and Venezuela; where Canada would breeze through the Group Stage, with a 5-0 win in each matchup. Next opponent was Mexico, where Canada would make it through to the Finals with a win in Men's Doubles by Nyl Yakuara & Adam Dong (20-22, 21-24, 21-14), Women's Singles by Michelle Li (21-9, 21-7) and capped off in Men's Singles by Brian Yang (21-9, 21-19).

The 2023 Pan Am Cup Final would feature the top 2 teams in Canada and USA. Leading off would be Ty Lindeman and Josephine Wu taking the win in Mixed Doubles over Vinson Chiu & Jennie Gai (USA) (22-20, 21-16), followed by Brian Yang (21-21, 21-12) in Men's Sinlges over Isaac Yang (USA), and concluded by Nyl Yakura & Adam Dong in Men's Doubles (21-18, 21-17) over Vinson Chiu and Joshua Yuan (USA). Canada would win 3-0, capture the 13th consecutive Mixed Team Contiential Title, and qualify for the 2023 BWF Sudirman Cup Finals in Suzhou, China.

team Canada would conclude the 2023 Pan Am Cup with an overall score of 16-0 in overall matches, and 32-1 in overall games played. With the 2023 Pan Am Cup title, Canada has now won 20 of 22 overall Mixed Team Contiential Championships.
