With limited draw sizes to keep the calibre of competition at the world's best, a total of 133 international-level athletes competed during the event, including 8 Canadians.

Canadians Justin Kendrick and Wyatt Lightfoot won the silver medal in the SH6 men's doubles category, following a 21-10, 21-14 loss to Fabien Morat and Charles Noakes from France. In addition, Canadians, Pascal Lapointe and William Roussy won the bronze medal in the SL3 - SL4 men's doubles category.

"I am very proud that we were able to bring the YONEX Canada Para-badminton International 2022 to our nation's capital again this year! This event was a great success and I look forward to welcoming everyone back next summer” stated Tournament Director, Mike Luck. "I would like to recognize the good work of all those who have helped to make this event possible, as much the volunteers, the athletes, the coaches, the staff, and of course our sponsors and partners in Sport Canada, Ottawa Tourism and YONEX Canada; without each of you, great events like this are not possible."

Every spectator whether they were on-site, on the Badminton Canada's Youtube channel or on had the chance to admire the performances of the athletes during this week of action.
