COVID-19 Update: Tournament Calendar
December 21, 2020
Badminton Canada announces the status of national & international events hosted in Canada until May 2021
As we approach 2021, many areas of our country are still deeply affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Like all of our clubs and communities across the country, Badminton Canada continues to adapt to the local and provincial health and safety guidelines. Upon review of the upcoming months in the 2020-21 Tournament Season, BCAN would like to update the greater badminton community on the status of domestic and international level events hosted in Canada until May of 2021.
“Badminton Canada has been monitoring the status of COVID-19 for nearly a year with our government and health partners” said Executive Director, Joe Morissette. “The health and safety of the greater badminton community continue to be our top priority. We understand that our community is eager to return to competition, however due the rise in COVID-19 cases in the recent months, it remains unsafe to host a national level event.”

BCan will continue to monitor the impact of COVID-19, the changing health and safety measures, and will connect with our communities on a return to competition timeline as soon as possible.
