Team Canada Travels to Pan Am Team Championships

February 13th to 16th Team Canada will travel to Brazil to participate in the Male & Female Pan Am Team Continental Championships 2020

This week, 15 of Canada’s best will be in Salvador Bahia, Brazil competing for the Male & Female Pan Am Team Continental Championships 2020. Our athletes will be competing against athltes representing countries such as; Brazil, Falkland Islands, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, and the United States of America. At the 2018 iteration of the Championships in Tacarigua, Trinidad and Tobago, both the Men's and Women's events were won by Team Canada.  

This event also serves as qualifications for the 2020 Thomas & Uber Cups which are the Men’s and Women’s World Team Championships. Only the winning team for Men's and Women's are qualify to play on the world stage. However, Team Canada recently won 4 of 5 events and this summers Pan Am Games in Lima, Peru. Canada is poised to defend the title and qualify once again for the Thomas & Uber Cup.
