Season’s greetings!

 

On behalf of the President, the Board of Directors and staff, Badminton Canada sends our warmest wishes to our national badminton community this holiday season.

 

This past year has come with unprecedented challenges that have affected us all during the COVID-19 pandemic. From the ability to train daily at a local club, to the ability to host international or national level events in Canada; our athletes, coaches, and clubs from coast to coast continue to adapt and make sacrifices for the health and safety of our communities.

 

As we look ahead, unfortunately all of the national and international events in Canada that were scheduled until May 2021 have been canceled or postponed. However, Team Canada has 7 athletes on track to qualify for the Tokyo Olympic Games this summer that will continue their pursuit around the world. The upcoming months will prove crucial in the final qualification process, and pre-Games preparation for our Olympic hopefuls - beginning with a 3 week stay in Thailand in January 2021 to attend the YONEX & TOYOTA Thailand Open.
