Badminton Canada Welcomes a New High-Performance Manager

Join us in welcoming Lindsay Macedo to our team as Badminton Canada's High Performace Manager

Badminton Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Lindsay Macedo to the position of High-Performance Manager. Macedo’s appointment will be effective as of November 4, 2019, and she will be a valuable addition to the organization. Lindsay joins Badminton Canada from Swimming Canada where she was the Manager of High-Performance Programs, and part of a team that resulted in many swimmers on the podium at the recent FINA Aquatics World Championships and the 2016 Rio Olympic & Paralympic Games.

As the new High-Performance Manager, Lindsay will be responsible for implementing Badminton Canada’s high-performance strategy as our Senior and Para National Teams head to the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games next summer. In addition, she will be responsible for leading Badminton Canada’s Junior National and Junior Development Teams as they embark upon another season.

"I am thrilled to join the Badminton Canada community and am happy to bring my experience to the team” said Macedo. “I am looking forward to working collectively with everyone at BCan towards the HP strategic plan, and to this new journey in the world of badminton. I am also excited to support the athletes and coaches leading into Tokyo Games in 2020 and beyond."

“We are excited to have Lindsay join Badminton Canada” said Joe Morissette, Executive Director of Badminton Canada. “We believe that Lindsay has the skill and aptitude to support the development and execution of Badminton Canada High Performance Plan and support our players podium objectives.”
