XXV 2016 Pan American Junior Championships: Canadian Badminton Team Selection

June 27, 2016

OTTAWA, ON - Badminton Canada is pleased to announce the list of nominated athletes selected to represent Canada at the 2016 Pan American Junior Team and Individual Championships being held in Lima, Peru from July 15 - 23, 2016. The Pan Am Junior Championships is important for development of the sport in Canada as it sets a benchmark to compare our rising stars with the rest of the Pan American regions. Tournament play includes one team event and individual play in all disciplines.

We’ve set high performance objectives as we hope to defend our team title and win at least two events in each of the U17 and U19 categories and 1 event in the U15 age category. Badminton Canada based its selection on our top athletes’ rankings and final points standing within the 2015-2016 season (from September 2015 to May 2016).
